The Legend of John Henry

Garst, John. Chasing John Henry in Alabama and Mississippi: A Personal Memoir of Work in Progress.

This article presents the most detailed modern analysis supporting a central Alabama location for the John Henry legend, including the Oak and Coosa Mountain tunnel area near Leeds.
